A All of our camp have guides here ready to assist you at any time. So, even if it is your first camping experience, we are here to teach you new skills and share our knowledge.
A Yes. Luckily our tents are fully waterproof and we have a large covered area for eating and cooking. Be sure to bring rain gear as mountain weather is notoriously unpredictable.
A No, that is not necessary. All equipment is provided here, including tents, sleeping bag, cooking utensils and cooking equipment. You just need to bring your clothing and personal items. Please note that it does get cool during the night and early morning, so if you feel the cold easily be sure to bring some warm clothing for bedtime.
A No, that is not necessary. We will prepare a lantern for each tent. Please bring a torch or small light with you when going to the toilet at night.
A Our tents are 4-6 person tents, so should provide ample space for your family If you are a larger group or feel that it is too small, please ask the guide and we will do our best to find a good alternative for you.
A We have coin operated showers on site, and these are charged as ¥100 per 5 minutes. There is also a hot spring a 3 minute car ride away, and if you`re without transport we may be able to collect you from the hot spring.

A There are shuttles from Hakuba station at the following times:
①9:30 ②10:30 ③11:45 ④12:30
We can also assist with transport for arrivals outside of these times, as well as collect guests from the hot springs. At the time of booking please do indicate if you are using public transport and may need assistance with shuttles, or if you will arrive by private car.
A We do not provide shuttles between our resort and Nagano station, and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. There are however public shuttles - kindly see the timetable below;

A Yes, you can freely bring in food and drink to the tent/camping site. We do ask however that you do not bring your own food and drinks into the BBQ area as there are other paying day customers. In this case please use vending machines or Restaurant Alice if you feeling hungry or thirsty.
A Yes, we will correspond in advance directly with the guests who has the allergy. Please be sure to notify us of this ahead of time.
A The curry we provide is mild and not too spicy.
A No, it is about 50 meters between the two points. Please note that you cannot drive you care directly to the camp site.
A Nice and close - about 30 meters. Because the toilets are inside the building they have washlets, flush and changing area.
A Yes, your pets can come to the campsite, though they are not permitted inside the tents or the BBQ/eating areas. Please also be considerate to other guests, ensure your pet is well fed/watered and clean up after it.
A Yes you can, as a way to create extra covered space for your group. When busy though please be aware of surrounding tents and only put it up if it will not interfere with people`s access to their tents or facilities.
A Only handheld fireworks, such as sparklers, are permitted. All other types are not allowed. Also, we ask that you notify your guide on the day if you plan to use handheld ones.

This 2-day and 1-night adventure program is designed specifically with families in mind. It's a a chance to get outdoors, be amongst nature and learn new skills together. From pitching your tent to catching fish and cooking them, our staff are here to facilitate an authentic experience and lend a hand should you need it. We are also ready to teach you tips for camping, how to make a fire and cook with dutch ovens. At night, enjoy a family get-together in a quiet tent with a little light. Learn how to survive the outdoors in a fun, yet approachable way.
As well as the wilderness survival camp experience, you will also receive a 2 day free pass which will allow you to enjoy our facilities and activities here at Hakuba 47!
※ This two day pass does differ in content from the 「Happy Pack Pass」

What to bring:
We provide all equipment including tents, BBQs, cooking equipment and utensils.
We recommend to bring extra clothes in case you take part in some activities.
You will be playing in the river on the second day of the camp so you'll need your swimwear and towels.
Playing in the river with bare feet may hurt you, please wear enclosed shoes.
No flip flops or thongs.
Remember to bring a hat and/or sunscreen as the sun is scorching hot in Hakuba.
It would be helpful if you have insect repellent in the evening and the nighttime, the bugs are around. A bear bell and a torch or small light will be helpful.
It might get chilly under the shade of a tree, and also it cools down in the morning and at night.
You may want to wrap yourself up in layers to protect yourself from the cold.
Weather may force a change in program so it is advised to have insurance in place.
Please do alert us to any allergies to medicines and/or dietary requirements.
Those who would like to see fireflies are advised to join the camps from mid - late July. Hakuba is known for it's firefly population, and as animals that only exist in close proximity to very pure water and undergrowth - typically where they meet - we are fortunate enough to have some here. July camps tend to be quieter than August, so you can also enjoy a more personal experience with a great guide to guest ratio!

●What to do after applying
1. Once you have applied via phone or our online form, you will receive an automatic reply from Hakuba 47.
2. A confirmation letter along with a camping schedule and "to bring" list will be emailed to you.
(As to last minute applications, materials will be emailed to you.)
3. Check the confirmation letter, fill in all the necessary information, and bring it with you on the day of camping.
(We will ask you to complete the letter at our reception if you are unable to print it out beforehand.)
4. Submit the confirmation letter when checking in and pay at reception.
(Cash and credit card are both accepted.)

Designed with little ones in mind, Strider bikes are excellent ways for young kids to learn and understand the principles of biking, with the added bonus of being able to use their feet for momentum and stability. This means that kids as young as 2 years can participate until the age of 9 years old.

Hakuba 47 Base Area - Next to the gondola station
Pre-school children aged 2-9
¥2,500 per participant; this includes insurance as well as a round gondola trip. Please pay the entry fee at the registration desk on the day of the event. We accept cash only.

*Children will be divided into classes based on their age on the day of the event
We will hold D, C, B and A finals with 6 runners up and a maximum of 8 runners up.
Preliminary and main qualifying rounds will take place.
D Final (7th-8th in Main Qualifying)
C Final (5th-6th in Main Qualifying)
B Final (3rd-4th in Main Qualifying)
A Final (1st-2nd in Main Qualifying)
1st place participants in the B-D finals will be eligible to participate in the heats above. (Participation is optional)
Open class has 4 heats
Only A finalists will be awarded prizes. (Participation is optional.)
The 8-grid 3-heat system will be used for up to 24 participants, and the 8-grid 4-heat system will be used for 24-32 participants.
In case the number of participants is low, some heats may not be held.
The same will apply if the number of runners up is low, such as one runner up in the B final or lower heats, the race may be moved to a higher final heat.
Applications will be closed as soon as the maximum number of entries is reached.
If the number of participants in an open class does not reach 7 or 8, the class will not be held.
Open Class is a class for unlimited age categories (2-9 years old).
Double entry (entry in both the 2–9 year-olds class and the Open Class) is also possible.
In case of a double entry, please indicate so in the remark’s column of the application form and the entry fee will be 4,000 yen for two classes.
After the deadline, preliminary qualifying heats and grid order will be randomly determined by computer.
The preliminary qualifying heats and grid order will be announced at the registration desk on the day of the event.
After the preliminary qualifying heats, the heat groupings and grid order for the next race will be determined according to the positions in the races completed.
Priority will be given to the grid order for each final race according to the rankings from the main qualifying heats.
・All must be strider bikes (no pedals) but can be of any brand and the tyres must be 12 inches.
・Modifications to the bike are acceptable, as long as there are no major modifications to the frame and front fork, and that safety has in no way been compromised.
・No brakes are permitted due to the increased risk of rear end accidents occurring from sudden braking.
・There will be a bike inspection on the day of the event.
・If there is a safety concern related to the bike, entry into the race may be refused.
・The course is currently in the process of making.
・The course will be the same or similar to our regular bike courses that can be used at any point during the green season
・The courses may be adjusted or shortened for the younger classes of 2 and 3 year-olds.

In the event of injury during the event, Hakuba47 and other event organisers will not assume any responsibility. Therefore, we recommend having your own insurance prior to the event. We will, of course, administer any needed First Aid or neccessary medical treatment.
Though we do plan to proceed with the event in the case of rain, extreme weather or winds may force a cancellation or deviation from the schedule. Please do be aware of this.

Designed with little ones in mind, Strider bikes are excellent ways for young kids to learn and understand the principles of biking, with the added bonus of being able to use their feet for momentum and stability. This means that kids as young as 2 years can participate until the age of 9 years old.

¥2,500 per participant; this includes insurance as well as a round gondola trip. Please pay the entry fee at the registration desk on the day of the event. We accept cash only.

*Children will be divided into classes based on their age on the day of the event
We will hold D, C, B and A finals with 6 runners up and a maximum of 8 runners up.
Preliminary and main qualifying rounds will take place.
D Final (7th-8th in Main Qualifying)
C Final (5th-6th in Main Qualifying)
B Final (3rd-4th in Main Qualifying)
A Final (1st-2nd in Main Qualifying)
1st place participants in the B-D finals will be eligible to participate in the heats above. (Participation is optional)
Open class has 4 heats
Only A finalists will be awarded prizes. (Participation is optional.)
The 8-grid 3-heat system will be used for up to 24 participants, and the 8-grid 4-heat system will be used for 24-32 participants.
In case the number of participants is low, some heats may not be held.
The same will apply if the number of runners up is low, such as one runner up in the B final or lower heats, the race may be moved to a higher final heat.
Applications will be closed as soon as the maximum number of entries is reached.
If the number of participants in an open class does not reach 7 or 8, the class will not be held.
Open Class is a class for unlimited age categories (2-9 years old).
Double entry (entry in both the 2–9 year-olds class and the Open Class) is also possible.
In case of a double entry, please indicate so in the remark’s column of the application form and the entry fee will be 4,000 yen for two classes.
After the deadline, preliminary qualifying heats and grid order will be randomly determined by computer.
The preliminary qualifying heats and grid order will be announced at the registration desk on the day of the event.
After the preliminary qualifying heats, the heat groupings and grid order for the next race will be determined according to the positions in the races completed.
Priority will be given to the grid order for each final race according to the rankings from the main qualifying heats.
・All must be strider bikes (no pedals) but can be of any brand and the tyres must be 12 inches.
・Modifications to the bike are acceptable, as long as there are no major modifications to the frame and front fork, and that safety has in no way been compromised.
・No brakes are permitted due to the increased risk of rear end accidents occurring from sudden braking.
・There will be a bike inspection on the day of the event.
・If there is a safety concern related to the bike, entry into the race may be refused.
・The course is currently in the process of making.
・The course will be the same or similar to our regular bike courses that can be used at any point during the green season
・The courses may be adjusted or shortened for the younger classes of 2 and 3 year-olds.
The exact course will be announced shortly. Stay tuned!
In the event of injury during the event, Hakuba47 and other event organisers will not assume any responsibility. Therefore, we recommend having your own insurance prior to the event. We will, of course, administer any needed First Aid or neccessary medical treatment.
Though we do plan to proceed with the event in the case of rain, extreme weather or winds may force a cancellation or deviation from the schedule. Please do be aware of this.
