A snowshoes tour

A group of 21 persons from Osaka went on a snowshoes tour again today!
They said that they all were in the same class during the senior high school (they are all round about 70 years old now!!) and that they are meeting every month once!

By the way, it was a really good weather for a snowshoes tour today!

On the picture above you see a tree, where a bear climbed up! The group listened carefully to the words of the guide and enjoyed the walk trough the untouched snow.

On the picture above you see the group during the "tea time" rest. Before that, they made the snow table and the seats by themselves!
At a place like that having a piece of cake and a cup of tea in a peaceful place like that is a really nice experience!

Got interested? Then give us a call or write an E-Mail to Hakuba 47!

Fine weather at our slopes as well!

Same weather forecast for tomorrow: cold temperatures and fine weather all day long!

A beautiful view at the North Alps!

This picture was taken in the morning with a wonderful view at the north alps.
Unfortunately the blue sky changed into snowfall in the afternoon. ... but wait! SNOWFALL!! (^o^)/
So, it wasn`t that bad ;)

Same view from Route 2! This is the best point to take a small rest after the steep part of the Route.
With this sight it seems to be a big pleasure!

What`s that? One of our staff members made this next at the base center to the gondola station! The snow sculpture contest is over now, so he changed it into a slide!

Feel free to have a ride on it! ;)

So cold that the nose hairs seems to freeze...

-12℃ at Hakuba 47 today!!
There were indeed colder days in this reason, but it felt really really cold today (>~<)
But on the other hand the snow on the upper parts of the slopes was AWESOME!

I guess you have to make this sacrifice, if you want to ride on nice and powdery snow ;)

The snowfall this year is somehow strange...
Large amounts of snow in whole Japan they say, but not here in Hakuba!!
Due to the lack of snow, the half-pipe got finished quite late and even now it is hard to keep it.

The half-pipe will be closed for remake until March, 2nd.
Sorry for causing any inconveniences.

The main reason for the remake of the half pipe is the stabilization of the side walls.

We want to keep the half pipe alive as long as possible! :)
We appreciate your patience.

Fresh, powdery snow felt were ice plates were before... That means a fast ride on todays slopes!
Please ride carefully and watch out for others!

Still... we are hoping for some nice, fresh and powdery snowfall in the next days.. ;)
