Aftershocks still hit the areas of Nagano & Niigata after the 2011 off the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake yesterday.
Luckily that Hakuba areas did not suffer damages during this earthquake,
but for safety purposes Gondola was closed today.
All staffs of Hakuba 47 would like to take this chance to express our sincere condolences to the victims of this earthquake.
Powder snow! Thanks to the cold temperature, snow kept in powder condition.
But it turned into wet snow when the temperature rose at noon...
All events of Goryu & 47's Day (originally held on 12th - 13th March) were cancelled today.

Really a heavy snowfall today!!!
Ski equipments were left there just 15 minutes.....
'Was snow heavy last night?'
'I guess it was over 50cm~~'
Patrol members were clearing up the snow in front of patrol room.
Every one could get there easily~~
Look forward to fine powder snow tomorrow!!
It's Goryu & 47's Day tomorrow!!
At the morning, our staffs will welcome you in costumes (looking forward~~);
then we will have a lucky draw of lift passes for those guests who are in costumes;
later Mr. Nagae Kenji will also visit Iimori Ski Resort.
At night, there will be a firework at Hakuba Goryu~~
Moreover, chef's choice pizza (900 yen) will be released at Pizza House 'Luis' on 12th - 13th March only!

Visibility was very low when I drove at 7pm last night...
Yes, it was heavy snowfall...
It bought us about 20cm of fresh snow!

20cm of fresh & fine snow was accumulated today!
If you would like to enjoy fine powder snow in mid March, Hakuba would be the best choice!!
