Hakuba47 WINTER SPORTS PARK

Today was the last "Hot Soup Event" this season.
While there was some soup left in the beginning, because there weren't enough customers, after putting the information up on Twitter or Facebook now the guests are lining up for it. Thank you very much!

For the last event the person who's actually preparing the soup every week was handing out the soup.
A big thank you to her, because she's preparing different soups every week for about 100 people!
We plan to keep up this traditional event in the next season as well. So don't forget Hakuba47's saturdays event: Free Hot Soup Event!

And tomorrow is the last day this season for Luis, our pizza restaurant.
It's the most popular restaurant in Hakuba47, and also a bit special because it is a bit smaller.
The next time you can get a delicious pizza there is July. It will be opened again from July 13th!
We are looking forward to meet you again at Luis!

When I came to work this morning it was very cloudy at the ski resort. But then I got a call from the top "A sea of clouds is spreading out!".
So I took my camera quickly to see this myself. The landscape was really beautiful!

It's something different though, if you have to ski in this sea of clouds.
If you're at the resort you can see a lot from the top of the mountains. But today's weather is actually rare, so those who witnessed this today can call themselves lucky. ;)

Inside the clouds it looked like this...
While you were riding on the lift you could barely see the seat in front of you. But going further up, out of the clouds where it was sunny - this was a really nice feeling!

And now, this weekend is the last one for the pizza restaurant "Luis" this season.
It will be opened again in summer!
Even the staff is order pizza for take out now, as they will not be able for a while...
Also our guests enjoy the delicious pizzas, of course.
We're waiting for you at Luis!

Today, even before the opening time of the gondola and lifts, there was a group of mountain bike riders coming to gather material.
On top of the snow - with a mountain bike?
In this snow conditions you don't even need spike tires...

But you can't call that a normal mountain bike. Maybe it's a new genre?
It's called fat bike. Maybe you can see that in this picture. The front one is a fat bike tire, so one the back is a regular one.
As the conditions were just right, they had a lot of fun riding they're bikes in R7!

Most of the time there were on R7, but in the end they went full throttle on the last part of R1. This part is still not too steep, so it would be ok even with normal mountain bikes, but the fat bike's tires have a better grip in the snow.
They could even do some light jumps.
Looks like you could get addicted to this new sport easily.

They even made a photo shooting at the snow park on R4.
Of course, there are way more mountain bikes in the summer season here in Hakuba47, but now you can even ride the bikes in snow.
